Terdo

Exciting weeks are behind us.
Since Christmas 2025, we’ve been working intensively on our very first visual novel — and we’re now just about to release our first playable demo.

Starting out as complete beginners in programming, this project challenged us in ways we didn’t expect. Especially early on, we had to learn how to balance creative ambition with technical reality. Thanks to Ren’Py’s clear structure (and a lot of persistence), we’re making steady progress every single day — and the world we imagined is finally taking shape.

We’re excited to introduce our project to you:

Terdo – After the Decay

Terdo – After the Decay is a hard sci-fi visual novel set in a post-apocalyptic future. Humanity has survived its own collapse and is slowly rebuilding. Scattered settlements form the first fragile social structures of a changed world.

Into this uncertainty arrive the Terdo — a highly advanced extraterrestrial species that establishes a settlement on Earth. Not as conquerors, but as cautious partners. Reserved by nature, they attempt to approach humanity carefully, seeking cooperation rather than control.

But the greatest threat isn’t cultural misunderstanding.

The Terdo suffer from severe biological adaptation issues when exposed to Earth’s environment. Most of their kind wish to conceal this weakness — but a small group of progressive thinkers breaks with tradition and turns to a human panel of experts for help.

Can cooperation overcome fear and secrecy?
Will you be able to help the Terdo survive — and influence humanity’s future along the way?

Guide four characters through a transformed world with settings in South America, Africa, and Oceania. Uncover fragments of humanity’s past — and shape what comes next through your decisions.

The visual novel is currently being developed in four languages:
German, English, Spanish, and Japanese.
