First things first: we promised you two new scenes with this update. Going over them in detail made us realise that the second scene needed more attention to really shine the way we want it to. Therefore, we apologise for delivering only one additional scene this month.
It is, however, the scene that is, so far, the dearest to us in the game. It’s also the most emotional scene in the entirety of Chapter One.
After saying goodbye to Rumi and leaving the village to join the ritual, Andrés will revisit a memory from his early childhood that is deeply connected to the past of the world he grew up in: the burial fields of Santa Cruz de Qocha!

While still reflecting on his memories, Andrés is joined by the Yatiri, the spiritual leader of the village, who is also Suyana’s grandfather—remember that kiss Andrés probably got at the end of the second scene? Andrés has now the choice to open up to the Yatiri about how he feels about his own past. Depending on the choices you make during the conversation, you will learn more about his mother, the history of Runa Pacha, or the tragic deaths of Andrés‘ daughter and wife…

Further developments
In recent weekly posts, I’ve given you some insight into how we started working on Terdo. If you haven’t had the chance to read those posts yet, be sure to check them out:

The Story Behind Terdo’s Art Style
Our creative journey to find a style that matches both our tastes and our capabilities.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be finishing the improvements to the next two scenes. Climbing that hill together with the Yatiri, Andrés will soon take part in the ritual—depending on your choices, of course. I don’t want to spill the beans too early, but the ritual will give you an insight into the minds and spirituality of the people of Runa Pacha. The scene after that will finally reveal more about the Terdo and Andrés‘ part in all of it.
The next update, featuring the ritual, is scheduled for August 15. In the meantime, we’ll continue posting weekly updates with new material and behind-the-scenes insights into the development of the game.
