We’re excited to release the first demo of Terdo – After the Decay.
We’ve been working on this for almost five months and we have way more material to show you, but we wanted to make sure that our first release meets our own requirements.
In this first rather short demo, you will meet Andrés Mamani. Be prepared, though, the future might look different than you expected. Taking place roughly 800 years into the future, the world of Terdo will show you neither a post-apocalyptic zombieland nor a technocratic dictatorship. Life is simple but conveniant when the past of humankind was anything but. Two terrible wars and global natural desasters have reduced the population to scattered and isolated communities. In this world, the Terdo arrive, a three-gender highly evolved species searching for new inhabitable planets.
Andrés is a young farmer and biologist who lives in Runa Pacha, a secluded region on the Altiplano in South America. He is one of four playable characters that will all focus on life in the southern hemisphere. This first release comprises of an animated intro and the first two scenes of chapter one where Andrés starts his day and meets Suyana at the harbor of Santa Cruz de Qocha, his hometown in Runa Pacha

The graphic design of the game is A.I. generated with a distinct look reminding of old comics (character sprites) and adds from the middle of the 20th century backgrounds). The storyline, however, is our own and continues to grow. The player can choose between four different languages (English, German, Spanish and Japanese). We have also created a unique alphabet and started to write a grammar and vocabulary for the language of the Terdo, the Alien species that arrived on earth 100 years before Andrés was born. Be prepared to meet them in one of the following updates.

We have already finished three more scenes (roughly 10,000 words in total) and will soon release them with additional material. But for now, we want to lean back and enjoy this well-deserved moment and share it with all of you.
Update 0.1.2 total word count
German: 2,175
English: 2,204
